NCDA Award nominations will be accepted in January 2019. Voting will occur in February before our Member Appreciation Dinner. Members will be awarded a certificate and free 2019/20 NCDA membership at the Member Appreciation Dinner.
All nominees MUST be ACTIVE Academy and NCDA members.

Outstanding Dietitian Award: This is the top honor presented to a NCDA member. This
individual has contributed to NCDA through active, long-term participation and service. This
includes but is not limited to service as an officer, committee chairman or member and/or
association member. They have been an inspiration to others in the field and demonstrated high
standards of professionalism and spirit of service to others in the field of dietetics or allied health
fields. Additionally they have made contributions to the profession as a part of a broader
contribution to human progress and improvement.
Emerging Dietetic Leader: This award recognizes the competence, leadership and activities of
dietitians, regardless of age, who have made distinctive contributions to NCDA/CAND and AND
early in their dietetics career (practicing between 5-10 years).Not previously selected as RYDY
Recognized Dietetic Technician of the Year: This award recognizes the professional
contributions of dietetic technicians in NCDA and CAND and to encourage their continued
participation in Association affairs. This individual has demonstrated leadership in the
Association and concern for the promotion of optimal health and nutritional status of the
Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year: This award recognizes the competence and activities of
younger dietitians in CAND and to encourage their continued participation in Association
affairs. This individual must be 35 years of age or younger. They must have demonstrated
leadership and concern for the promotion of optimal health and nutritional statuses of the
Outstanding Dietetic/Nutrition Student: This individual must have demonstrated academic
achievement as documented by letters from program Faculty or Preceptors. Additionally, they
must have demonstrated leadership and professional potential.
